Delhi Weather Update

We started in the month of May and now we are going ahead to months now. Read and and find the latest forecast and weather update for Delhi.

It was month of May when the long range forecast was released by Indian Meteorological Department. Well, like every year, the GREAT INDIAN MONSOON SAGA begins.  I have been watching weather and charts for several years and I am joined by someone who has more experience in weather and making sense of it.  The weather forecast in India is a political statement. It drives the demand for money from central government and worse, it impacts the stock market as well. Indian Meteorological Department takes cautious road to predicting the weather.

I am going to write about weather of Delhi and possible outcomes of the condition in sky over the city.  I am going to try to update this page almost daily (that is courtesy promise).

8 July 2010 Delhi Weather Update

Haryana, Himachal, Uttarakhand and Punjab needs to watch out for today. It may rain there heavily. This rain is not coming from the clouds of monsoon.  I

15th August 2010 Delhi Weather Update
=========================
Happy Independence Day! Delhi weather has been nice for some days in the past.  I had some serious stuff to take care between 28th July and 14th August. I am back with weather update. Today, sky will remain cloudy and the more rain is expected. There is enough monsoon to last for more days. This month will have more rains as well.  By the morning, more dense clouds will reach Delhi. Temperature will remain bearable. Delhi is preparing for CWG 2010. Delhi looks like nothing less than war zone. Everywhere construction material has been left here and there by careless authorities.  The bad weather may take away good working days.

=========================
26 July 2010 Delhi Weather Update
=========================
It is again the pure misfortune that Delhi is not getting due rains.  The local weather conditions and the low-low pressure zones are not making it possible to have rains in Delhi. The sky has been patched with scattered clouds here and there. The larger systems are missing. There is a system of cloud in the north.  The east and west sides are almost blank. Delhi had blue sky today and it was extremely clear with improved visibility.  There is possibility of some rain but not for hours.  It is raining almost everywhere except Delhi and adjoining areas.  Haryana, Punajab and even Rajasthan are getting the rains.  The local phenomena is such that it is keeping Delhi out of rains.  It is very confusing picture right now. The day is already seeing high speed winds.  The clouds in patches are moving at fast speed. The larger system will take time to reach Delhi. The humidity will remain at lower levels for today. That is the relief for now. The clear blue sky can make it to have the high temperature.

=========================
25 July 2010 Delhi Weather Update
=========================
For now, Delhi may get some cloud cover from the system which is scattered but coming from North-east side from Delhi. There is low pressure zone here and there combined with water vapors.  India is seeing larger rains in the lower and central parts. The large cloud system is approaching towards north-east, from there its movement could be towards west. If it is so, it is going to rain heavily in Delhi. I laid out conditions for this event. In general. the first half of the day till 2pm is going to remain like this only. There is possibility of low rains during the evening. The temperature would remain high with humidity and haze in the sky.

=========================
24 July 2010 Delhi Weather Update
=========================
The day remained hot and humid. In the evening, some large patches of the clouds were seen. There were some short spell of the rains. It did not last for more than 5-10 minutes. The sky was overcast whole day and it remained so in the night as well. I missed to update it yesterday.

=========================
23 July 2010 Delhi Weather Update
=========================
There is large area around Delhi which has just the water vapors nothing else. This area has moderate low pressure zone but not enough to move the large patches of the clouds. During the day today, there may be some clouds and the sun will keep on shining during the day having some brief covers from the clouds. The larger part of the day will remain hot with high humidity. Delhi needs to get more rains from the cloud systems which are low for now.

=========================

22 July 2010 Delhi Weather Update
=========================
The day was not supposed to be like the way it is now.  The small gap between two clouds patches, is making Delhi again reeling under the heat and humidity. The clouds will reach Delhi sometime around 5pm. It is taking time due to absence of low pressure zone.  It is just pure bad luck for Delhi today. It must be raining here like other places around Delhi are experiencing the cloud cover and rain. Wait for sometime, more rains will come back. Monsoon and its quality are ok for now.

=========================
21 July 2010 Delhi Weather Update
=========================
The more rains will arrive today after brief interval. The more clouds are approaching from Northern region. The Delhi will seem more rains today possibly around 3pm or so. The northern winds are going to bring the chill factor.  And by evening the,  east-south clouds will also reach Delhi. It is going to be mixed day for Delhi. The sky will remain covered with the clouds. The sun-shine will be less but will  be visible sometimes. It can rain during the evening today.

=========================
20 July 2010 Delhi Weather Update
=========================
It is beautiful and fantastic view of the satellite image today. It looks great and there is no place in India where it is not raining. There is large patch of the clouds moving towards Delhi from North. It is going to be more rain for next few days. Monsoon has come back.  Arabian Sea has system in place now which is looking absolutely right. It is enough to make up for the lost rains in last few months.

Enjoy the rain and carry the umbrellas with you. Also, be prepared to face the traffic jams in Delhi.

=========================
19 July 2010 Delhi Weather Update
=========================
The large patch of the clouds is approaching Delhi from the East-South region. It is all over Delhi now. This cloud system is enough big to last for 24 to 36 hours.  There is no possibility of sunshine today. The inception of the clouds is again taking place in the Arabian and Bay of Bengal. The monsoon is still weak but better than before.  The humidity is going to remain high during the day. It will rain today. The walls of the homes are still hot due to the past heat from the sun. This is creating strange temperature in the home. You can open the windows of your home to cool the walls.  These walls will catch the humidity but will remain cool.  The sky has enough clouds and water vapors to make it right.  The movement of the clouds is going to be in the North-West direction because that is where the low pressure zone is now.  Enjoy the weather in Delhi at least for next 24 hours or so.

=========================
18 July 2010 Delhi Weather Update
=========================

Now, this time, lets get it right. There is huge cloud system which is moving towards Delhi and NCR for sure. It has good symptoms of rains and thunder. Wait for this system to arrive in Delhi around 4PM or so.  High humidity and temperature will keep you worried. Wait for some relief today.

=========================
17 July 2010 Delhi Weather Update
=========================

There was good cloud cover just few hours before in Northern side, but it avoided the contact with Delhi. The possibility of the rain is there but the patchy clouds remain the concern. The weather experts are worried on this aspect that monsoon so far has avoided northern UP and Delhi altogether. It is certainly beyond explanation, why it is happening.  There is still hope that the large clouds will touch Delhi around 3PM or so. The water vapors and absence of low pressure zone is the prime reason for not having the rains from these systems. The high humidity combined with the temperature is not only problematic but health concern as well.  Wait for the clouds to touch Delhi and some rain. The day will remain like this. The monsoon is certainly weak now. It is going to be July-end now, there are no major rains.

=========================
16 July 2010 Delhi Weather Update
=========================

The satellite  picture of this morning presents very interesting image today. There are clouds in the east from Delhi and the large patches are moving from south to north. The low pressure zone is  in north-west region that is Afghanistan and beyond.  There will be clouds in the sky after 12PM or so. Will it rain? That is a question not easy to answer. But yes, the cold clouds of white colors will be over Delhi for sure. These clouds can bring the rain and winds of higher speed.  The day will see the meeting of two different cloud systems over Delhi. It is good coincidence that it would bring the relief to the city. The commonwealth 2010 preparations are going on and if it rains for hours, those may be affected. Right now the system from south is crossing MP and moving towards north. The other one lies in Uttarakhand and Eastern UP.  Wait for some nice weather today in Delhi. The temperature will change. The hot and cold clouds will meet and produce more humidity along with the ground heat as well.  So that’s it for today.

=========================
15 July 2010 Delhi Weather Update
=========================
It is not the new news. It is the old pattern which is visiting Delhi again today. This time it is not easter winds, it is from the central India and clouds going in straight line towards Delhi. It is unusual movement of the system. It can be explained because in the North-West from India, in Afghanistan and beyond the severe low pressure zone has been formed. The movement of the clouds is being affected by that. That is the reason, clouds are not moving to East and then from to west and finally towards Delhi. Today presents the clouds over Sky of the Delhi. But it is not again a very strong system. The scattered low density clouds are largely forming the system. They can rain but not too much. The rain may happen today. If the low pressure zone moves or forms around Delhi, these clouds may stay for sometime, other wise the movement is going to be towards west. It is not easy to predict and chase the monsoon. It is certainly a system which does not follow the pattern. May be hiring Octopus Paul for weather prediction, will be more accurate than the existing systems we have in place. Today, day will see clouds and rain along with the high humidity and possibility of sunshine as well. If it begins to rain, that will continue for sometime after having some intervals.

=========================
14 July 2010 Delhi Weather Update
=========================
The day will remain hot and humid. The situation is this; there are some clouds in western and eastern UP but whole the system is avoiding Delhi, Haryana and Rajasthan. The low pressure zone exists in Punjab.  In second half of the day, some clouds can reach Delhi due to low pressure zone. The sky is filled with vapors and haze. Yesterday, it felt like it is going to rain but the scattered clouds and continuous motion did not make it to rain.  Monsoon is  now all of scattered clouds. No claim can withstand the test of time. The forecast which is long ranged one must be avoided because it is difficult to predict the cyclones in Indian Ocean. Every year, these cyclones are coming and taking away most of the monsoon system and its strength. Little careful approach must be placed. For now,  There will be some clouds and possibly if eastern disturbance reaches Delhi then some rain as well. Again I repeat, there is no possibility of rain for many hours. If it will rain, it is going to be for few minutes or less than an hour.  Keep yourself hydrated and cool.  Avoid fizzy drinks and juice of vegetables.

=========================
13 July 2010 Delhi Weather Update
=========================
It is again a hot day with low possibility of having rain and cloud cover. The sky has clouds but very thin. These are more over scattered so badly that a complete cover over Delhi is not possible for now. I am seeing the satellite image taken 1 hour ago. There is no relief today. Is it going to rain today? May be some but not very heavy. The low pressure zone is somewhere in North West region. The sky is filled with water vapor with normal pressure, that is the problem. Anyways, if you look at the Monsoon, it is badly scattered. The complete system has deviated from the normal course of action. The monsoon looks bad in shape. High temperature with high humidity, that is going to happen for today.  If Eastern winds move to west, there is little hope because East from Delhi still has some clouds but not enough to rain for hours.

=========================
12 July 2010 Delhi Weather Update
=========================
There are clouds all over Delhi as people woke up with nice weather today.  Well, Certainly there are clouds but not enough to cause continuous rains for hours.  South-East Rajasthan has low pressure zone and the clouds are over UP. This small patch of low pressure zone will pull the system towards it and you would find that sun is again shining in the sky of Delhi today. It is again going to be a mixed day for Delhi. The situation in Punjab, Haryana, Himachal and Utttarakhand looks troubled. There is going to be more rain today. The large cold cloud is floating in the sky, will cause medium to heavy rain.  For Delhi, Sun will keep on playing hide and seek for the day. There may be some rain but not very heavy. The system is not very strong and has the scattered clouds.  Enjoy some rains and sunshine. The humidity is going to be high for the day.

=========================
11 July 2010 Delhi Weather Update
=========================
It is again a bad start of the day. High humidity around 70% may be going for the day touching 85% or so with the temperature around 42c.  Yesterday was again a hot day with lots of people complaining about the boiling weather which had put many people indoor. Today, Satellite picture of 5:00 UTC  shows that there is low pressure zone in Afghanistan which has low key areas extending to Punjab, Rajasthan and finally touching Delhi. In the east of Delhi, lies the scattered system of clouds which is not continuous in the form. It may reach Delhi during the day. But you are not going to get the dense clouds in the sky. It is very thin and weak system which can cause some rain but not enough.  Monsoon has bad shape in Arabian Gulf. The sky is clear there and has no major formation. Southern and Western states are having the last of the monsoon system from current spell. As a result Tamilnadu and Kerala are seeing blank sky today. This year’s monsoon is not better than past years. It was claimed that this year is going to have rains above normal.  Unfortunately, it is not true now.  There are some hopes still remaining that Monsoon would revive and will give us some rain. For today, the day is mixed again with clouds, high humidity, eastern disturbances, high temperature and problem of sweating.

Update at 12:30 PM Today:

The Eastern winds have hit Delhi now. It is good to see that the movement is from east to west. Easter disturbance has clouds for good long time to last. Enjoy the rains.

=========================
10 July 2010 Delhi Weather Update
=========================
I learnt an important lesson during last few days.  It is not to be fooled by what you see above your roof in the sky. The local phenomena can not defy the satellite pictures. For Delhi today, the elusive clouds are again dodging the ground and sky. The problem is south west corridor is filled with water vapors with no low pressure zone. From Eastern side, there are clouds which can come towards Delhi. If that comes, it is going to give good cloud cover for Delhi. The problem is I do not get the data for the wind pressure as it is available for US.  Indian images just show the clouds without showing the pressure map. Anyways, High temperature and high humidity that is what in store for Delhi today if disturbance from East does not come over. And if you see it coming, it should be so around 12 PM to 2PM.  My guess is that, it should touch Delhi because currently that system is edging.  The monsoon does not look like even existing.  It is weak system now. The claims of more than 100% monsoon have evaporated in thin air now.  The weather experts needs to have patience and do not jump to conclusions very fast.

=========================
9 July 2010 Delhi Weather Update
=========================
It is blank sky again for the Delhi. The humidity is very high and it is going to remain so for rest of the day. There are no clouds which can reach in next few hours. Also, there is no system which can cause little rain in Delhi today. It is water vapor filled sky with no clouds, it is going to be uncomfortable for the people in Delhi. It is back to pre-monsoon days. There is no low pressure zone which can move some clouds.  Over all, the picture does not look good today. Satellite image is not very much of relief either.  Expect hot and humid day. You need to keep yourself hydrated and drink lots of water.  No good news folks today.  No good news from the aspects of the monsoon either. It is weak system which will take more days to move towards Delhi.  There are no norther disturbances. If low pressure forms around Delhi, some clouds can move in from South-west region. Beyond that, there is no relief today.

=========================
8 July 2010 Delhi Weather Update
=========================
Haryana, Himachal, Uttarakhand and Punjab needs to watch out for today. It may rain there heavily. This rain is not coming from the clouds of monsoon.  It is northern disturbance again playing the role. The picture of monsoon does not look very nice. The monsoon has scattered and further strength may come in few days. Still, there are many parts in UP and Rajasthan which will not see any rain today. This whole system is disturbed. The monsoon is not bringing rain. It is northern disturbance and the system which is spread from India to China and Russia. Monsoon still has some hope. Yesterday’s rain in Delhi was at few places as it did not rain in complete NCR. Such phenomena is generally local and difficult to predict. Delhi struggled with water logging and traffic jam yesterday. The civic agencies claim every year but this year too it is not the different story.  For today in Delhi, The northern clouds may affect weather and there might be some rain. No possibility of continuous rains in Delhi for today. The day will see high humidity with mix of sunshine and cloud cover.  If it were monsoon, it would not have rained in northern states. Monsoon has the path now to follow. There is not enough low pressure zone for now to pull the clouds further from South-West direction. The monsoon clouds will move but that speed will not there enough to have rapid movement.

=========================

7 July 2010 Delhi Weather Update
========================
After a day of clouds, it is again a somewhat blank sky. The low pressure zone with thin sheet of clouds is present. It may take until second half of the day to see the clouds again in the sky. There is very less possibility of rain  today.  Delhi, Haryana, UP and Rajasthan states will see the less rain today. The Northern disturbance is also gone. As I wrote yesterday, it is very sluggish monsoon this year. It is going to rain heavily in southern states while Delhi will again see the temperature at higher side with no or little possibility of rain.  Delhi is going to witness the same weather as it was seen in pre-monsoon days. The monsoon will keep on playing hide and seek with Delhi. Last two days of spell were one of the phenomena which took place due low pressure zone. But right now, the monsoon is again scattered. The stream of clouds can take many hours to reach Delhi again.

=========================
6 July 2010 Delhi Weather Update
========================
Officially monsoon has arrived in Delhi now. The monsoon corridor still has the low pressure zones which will be filled soon. The direction of this monsoon is again same as I wrote yesterday. The northern disturbances and southern clouds will bring the chill factor.  There may be interval of few days between the two rainy days. For now, enjoy the rains. The current spell of monsoon is fragile and in totality, it is still weak.  The patches of clouds are not continuous in nature and you would get day mix of sun-shine and clouds.  Expect humidity to be higher side. Arabian sea still looks to have the fewer patches of large systems which can reach Delhi. There is not going to be continuous rain in Delhi and surrounding areas.  Some of areas of NCR will remain dry while others will receive few rains.

=========================
5 July 2010 Delhi Weather Update
========================
Delhi is enjoying the cool weather today. The Northern and Southern disturbances are meeting over Delhi. You must be feeling chill in the air, it is because of mix of two systems. One is coming from Northern side while other is coming from South-West direction.  If we see, the south west side, the cloud density is not really good to last more than 5-6 hours. The system is pushing up in the northern direction with having scattered clouds in its tail. Central UP and other parts in Central India region will have the patchy sky.  Monsoon seems to be revived now but it is still weaker than the before. The current system of clouds will continue to give the cool weather but expect sun-shine during the second half of the day.  It would rain in Northern States as well. But the rains and clouds as of now are in very fragile condition. It would not last many days because there system of thin clouds which follow the current spell.  Humidity will remain high once the sky clears today which is expected after 2-3 PM or so.

=========================
4 July 2010 Delhi Weather Update
========================
Finally, monsoon reached via unusual route to Delhi. This time, monsoon took the route from south west.  The current path is lying from Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Haryana Delhi corridor. This is little unusual path. The monsoon is supposed to reach Delhi taking the route from south- East region. Anyways, Good for Delhi, the clouds are reaching. The low pressure zone in central UP can spoil the monsoon for sometime.  If the current path is followed by the monsoon, there are enough clouds to last next 2 days. And if the low pressure zone sucks the clouds from the path, it may not even last for few hours.  Enjoy the mild weather and some rain today.

=========================
3 July 2010 Delhi Weather Update
========================
It is not very good picture of monsoon in overall terms.  Delhi and Haryana are again facing the clear cloud. The monsoon looks like regular disturbance. The Arabian sea is almost blank.  Expect some clouds to reach Delhi today. There is no big miracle going to happen today. There is no major patches approaching Delhi. There is one single patch which exist in the east of Delhi.  For its movement towards Delhi, requires the low pressure zone which does not have the required features as of now but it may change for good and you may get some cloud cover during the day.  Monsoon right now, looks very weak.  Expect hot and humid day today with some clouds. There is no good news. It may take few more days for the clouds of monsoon to reach Delhi and give some relief.

=========================
2 July 2010 Delhi Weather Update
========================
The Delhi weather today will see mild rains. The scattered clouds will be there. These clouds are from the monsoon now. The monsoon is weak now. The Arabian sea does not have major system visible today. It means deficit in monsoon which is going to affect the crops. The monsoon looks like very scattered and it is losing its strength. The long range forecast will not hold true now.  There is chance of revival and it is not late yet.  The monsoon’s cloud will have the effect of high humidity and ligher sun-light which will feel like more than it is actually. The day is not going to see any major change from what we saw yesterday. How ever, by evening, the large patches of the clouds may reach Delhi if low pressure is formed.

=========================
1 July 2010 Delhi Weather Update
========================
Oh, its again northern disturbance playing in the field.  And the low pressure zone is gone. But yes, this morning it rained somehow. Although it is not monsoon yet. It may not take very long now. The clouds are covering but are scattered. Such weather of rain and clear sky will go on for few days.  Yesterday, I wrote about the low pressure zone in Western side, that is still there and doing its job as supposed to be.  It looks of for now to be like that. The day is going to be again hot and humid. Rain today? Yeah it would be again. The northern disturbance will play active role today. It is raining in Northern states and the same system is touching Delhi as well.  So expect some rain and some sunshine today. The mixed day ahead.  Yes, power cuts are making life difficult. The frequent failure of the electric lines is a serious issue. Who has the time to think about that. Delhi is more worried about Commonwealth Games 2010.  Without electricity, how is that going to happen.  The electric system has not been changed and you can still notice the cobwebs.  So, Delhi gets today as hot, humid, rainy, sunny, scattered clouds and yes, electric cuts as well.

Reversed Global Warning

Global Warming can be reversed using Clouds

Imagine if the clouds in the sky remain stationed over a period of time.  Or the volcanic ash remains in the sky for very long time. This period on the hypothetical note can be three months. Due to any reasons, if the sun-light is obstructed to reach earth, it has very severe consequences on the life on earth.  A reverse process begins with this. The earth begins to cool and it gets colder with each passing day.  It depends upon the area which is not receiving enough of sun-light. If it is mountains, the snow will not fall but it will freeze everything with dipping temperature further.

The seasons and weathers act as balancing force to keep the temperature of earth in balance.  The global warming can be reversed using the artificial methods as well.  A mountain or the glaciers can be provided the cover of artificial thick clouds to stop the sun light to reach the surface.   Such system will form a center and the reversed cooling will begin in controlled environment.

Has such technique been tried anywhere? I have no idea. But my idea is to place such clouds and covers in the area which are seeing the larger effects of the global warming. Using this technique, the receding glaciers can be revived. The global warming seems more problematic when the water is drying up and the sunlight is reaching in more measures.  If this sun-light could be stopped to hit earth for few months, the situation will change. It is not costly to have such systems.

The other ways can include the seeding the clouds in air pollution prone areas and creating the low pressure zones somewhere else.  The system can be co-ordinated to move these clouds to some other place and have the rain there.  It can be controlled and measured for efficiency.  There are several other natural measures available to counter and fight the menace of global warming. The funds can be made available from the fines which are supposed to be charged from the most polluting countries.

However, it is highly debated issue of global warming. There may be some effects of human activities. But largely it seems to be the natural cycle.

Delhi Weather update June and May 2010

For latest and current current month and today’s  weather update check http://www.thedirectnews.com/delhi-weather-update/

=========================

30 June 2010 Delhi Weather Update
========================
Sky today has the conditions for the monsoon to move towards Delhi. The low pressure zone in Pakistan, Iran and Afghanistan has wide area to cover. This low pressure area will play an important role from the point of view of equilibrium. The basic rules of equations come in direct play now. Let’s not confuse you. I have been writing about weather in easiest terms which can be understood even by 3rd grade student. As most of the people do not care about scientific names. All they want to know if it would hot or cool weather in Delhi. The point is, Delhi is will continue to receive the water vapor filled sky. The conditions and the path is clear for the monsoon to move now. Will it rain today? No. But there are strong possibilities that rains will hit Delhi in next 24-36 hours plainly.  The weather conditions change so fast that it is not right to blame the scientists and experts.  There is no reasons with the long range monsoon to fail. The local conditions make lot of difference to what you see in sky above Delhi.  I am not dealing with statistical mess.  I write what I see in sky scan of everyday.  The day is going to be hot and humid in the first half and evening and night will be cooler and more clouds.

=========================
29 June 2010 Delhi Weather Update
========================
Delhi will get cloud cover for today.  Again this is not monsoon yet. Monsoon is not finding the route to Delhi. Monsoon is close to 800 to 900 km away from Delhi. The clouds you see in the sky above Delhi, are from the same system explained yesterday. These are part of northern disturbances which is originating from China region.  The tail of this system is keeping Delhi’s sky filled.  So what we get today, we get humid day and hot after afternoon. The night is going to be colder. And there is no major system to cause storms or typhoons.  The wind speed would be in the range of 8 to 20km per hour. And the temperature average is going to be around 40c.  Again a day with mild weather but its not monsoon. Monsoon is not finding the low pressure zone to move into. Wait for more days. Until monsoon arrives, the northern disturbance would give us relief for next few days and this week.  It is expected that delayed monsoon will tough Delhi in next week.  Weather gods are favoring Delhi with mild weather for now for very different reasons.

=========================
28 June 2010 Delhi Weather Update
========================
Today, Delhi woke up with rain and clouds in the sky. Well, what ever you are seeing in the sky for now, is not monsoon. These are again northern disturbances reaching Delhi and adjacent areas. This system of clouds is not local as it has originated from the larger system which has head over China, Mongolia and Southern Russia. The same system has its tail in the sky of Delhi. These clouds and rains are fragile in nature and if local conditions are suitable, they can remain for many hours. The problem is,  the western side from Delhi, ei. Rajasthan, Haryana has low pressure which can make it sunny again in Delhi.  Enjoy the mild weather for days ahead.  But this rain does not have the grounding in monsoon. It is very much fragile and these clouds do not have continuous streams.

=========================
27 June 2010 Delhi Weather Update
========================
High level of water content in the sky with vapors will give us illusion of sky being cloudy. The thin and thick cover exists beginning from Delhi and extending over Haryana and Rajasthan. I am seeing the satellite scan which was released at 4:30 or so. No heavy clouds are seen.  Some patches are reaching Delhi as well and will be visible during the day. It is not going to be heavy rain today. It is still weak system to cause major changes. Monsoon has become scattered system now. A large patch of cloud will enter western coasts today. After that it is for now, clear sky over the sea. The sea surface temperature data is still holds good for forming the clouds quickly.  The south-west monsoon is moving with slow speed. Day in Delhi will see mild weather today. I really like to read what others sites are saying about weather but most of them are unreliable. I trust what I see in the satellite scan. The day will have high humidity with temperature touching 40c  and will keep you indoor during the noon.

=========================
26 June 2010 Delhi Weather Update
========================
The sky has the mix of low and medium pressure zones which is not going to help the movement of monsoon. The monsoon looks scattered not the concentrated or continuous. The sky scan of 4:30 AM reveals that, weather will be mild during the day. The thin sheet of clouds will remain there. Will it rain today? There is no major formation of the clouds that could bring the rain to city. Some of the clouds may reach Delhi giving you 5-10 mins of rain at max. No possibility of any major weather disturbance today. Day is going to be hot and humid with haze in the sky.  Expected temperature between 42 and 33c. The low speed winds will keep on blowing during the day.  Although It is not very nice weather today but it is not the extreme even.

=========================
25 June 2010 Delhi Weather Update
========================
Interesting sky today. The clouds you see in the sky above Delhi, are not part of monsoon. This is a norther disturbance system which is having its tail in sky above Russian and Chinese lands. It is good thing that it reached Delhi. It is covering northern states. If It had been monsoon clouds to reach, Delhi would have been dry for now.  Monsoon is moving with slow speed and it is still days behind to reach.  Low pressure zone exists below Delhi and in Rajasthan, which may push these norther clouds further. If these northern clouds show further movement, it would be good rain in Delhi. And in mean time, the monsoon clouds will mix with this system.  But these clouds are fragile which we are seeing now. This is not common pattern.  Monsoon is yet to reach Delhi. Enjoy the cool/humid weather today.  If the sky clears today, it will lead to higher humidity.  South-West region of India will have rains today and tomorrow as the monsoon clouds hit it.

=========================
24 June 2010 Delhi Weather Update
========================
There is some change in the weather pattern for today. It is almost the same as of yesterday except some clouds. Haze, dust, water vapors and humidity again in the sky. The pattern has not changed. There is low pressure zone around Delhi. And there are northern clouds which can reach Delhi today. There is little relief in sight today. It is going to be more over the same.  Monsoon looks crazy now. It is loosing its speed and thickness.  The Arabian Sea has clear sky for some days. Sea at Bengal side (Bay of Bengal) is having the large patches of the clouds touching the mainland. The system joins the monsoon clouds over Tamilnadu and Andhra forming a local system there. But for Delhi, expect another day which is hot and humid. There are some clouds which can reach Delhi by evening. The low pressure is so poor that it would not let us have the winds of more than 8km Per hour.

=========================
23 June 2010 Delhi Weather Update
========================
High humidity and haze in the sky, that is what we are having today. Delhi may get the patchy cloud cover. These clouds are coming over from North-Eastern side from Delhi. Some of them are descending to lower heights.  Rest of the sky does have haze, dust and water vapor mixed. The humidity will remain high and it will lead to sweating more. Expect some relief by evening. There can be a storm with dust.  Although, it may not rain very heavy today.  The thin cloud cover will remain for the rest of the day. In the evening it will create more problems because this haze and dust cover will not let heat escape.  The only hope is on the clouds which are coming over from East. They look like the monsoon system but are not part of that. Monsoon is again in the cycle of revival.  There will not be much rain in Mumbai for few days.

=========================
22 June 2010 Delhi Weather Update
========================
It is slightly better today. Although there is no major change but the small variation of the low pressure zone and parameters is surely positive sign for today. The overall weather condition would be dry and without clouds. So what is the change, the corridor of the low pressure has shifted and narrowed now. The water vapors are still making the color of the sky over Delhi. The small patches of the clouds are visible but not in the continuous formation. The result of vapors touching from monsoon system is that Delhi will not be as hot as yesterday. Delhi people are going to notice the change in the temperature. The overall temperature would remain high but not as much like yesterday. Some clouds may be seen over Delhi. These clouds are not from the monsoon but north-west disturbance. The problem is, the only possibility left of rain for coming days is from the system of the monsoon only. Monsoon has advanced a little but not the way it was expected.
=========================

21 June 2010 Delhi Weather Update
========================

The weather will not see the change today. There is possibility of weak monsoon now. It is not moving up. The earlier date of 22nd June covering UP will be missed. The low pressure zone is extended from Delhi to Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Northern UP and MP. This low pressure zone is so well extended that there is no possibility of moving the clouds from monsoon. There is no local disturbance. There are no disturbances visible in western side. Some clouds are descending from Himalayan region to UP but that’s not going to reach Delhi. It is continuous clear sky and does not have anything in sight which could provide some relief to Delhi and adjoining areas. The earlier prediction of having monsoon normal seems ok even now because the Arabian Sea still has good coverage of the system. Yesterday, it was severely hot. It is very difficult to go outside. For people in Delhi, strong caution is advised. Being Monday, avoid unnecessary travel outside. Keep yourself hydrated and covered.
=========================

20 June 2010 Delhi Weather Update
========================

There is no exciting news for today. We are entering into the days now which would keep us waiting with low pressure zone but no clouds. The monsoon is taking right path but this sky of Delhi which has high humidity and the corridor or low pressure zone going in north to western region is surely a cause of issues. Very hot day and no rain today.

=========================
19 June 2010 Delhi Weather Update
========================
It is going to be very hot day today. There are no clouds. Delhi is surrounded by low pressure zone having no clouds in the surroundings. Expect no rain. Just some scattered one or two patches of clouds. Nothing beyond that.

=========================
18 June 2010 Delhi Weather Update
========================
Delhi weather today is going to be dry and with no possibility of the rain. There is low pressure zone and sky is clear. There are no disturbances of the formation of the clouds around Delhi in the direction of west or north. The humidity is going to be high and the temperature will also be high and would remain in the range of 42c and 30c.  Some patches of the clouds are possible. But no thunderstorms,  no major haze. We are back to the beginning days of the June. The sky scan which is of 4AM shows that Monsoon’s intensity is weak.  Although monsoon has covered most of the central and lower part of India now, it would remain so till some more disturbances arrive from the western or south-eastern side.  That is going to take time. The date for now fixed by IMD is 22 June for UP to have the monsoon cover.  In fact, lower part of the UP is seeing the rains even right now.  Mumbai on 18 to 20th June is going to see more of the rain as a large patch of the cloud is going to pass over it.  People going to Himalayan Region, have good option as roads will clear because the cloud cover is thinning now.

=========================

17 June 2010 Delhi Weather Update
========================
We all have been waiting for some relief from the tough weather. Mumbai is seeing the rains for last few days.  For today in Delhi, the sky is almost clean slate. Delhi’s sky is going to see very thin sheet of clouds and water vapors.  I am looking at the sat scan of 3:30 AM and the weather chart of means and averages. The monsoon is expected to cover all over UP by 22nd of June.  There is low pressure zone around Delhi and there are no western or northern winds or disturbance hitting Delhi. The Monsoon has the way to advance now further because the towards Western side of the Delhi, lies the low pressure zone. The Monsoon does not come in a straight line. I makes a curve and from the western UP side and upper regions, it enters in to Delhi. For last few days, I would say it was luck of Delhi which kept the clouds away.  It surprises me to see the data of weather sites, which change their mood so often. I have learnt to not to rely what they say. I trust what I see on sat scan because that does not lie.

=========================

16 June 2010 Delhi Weather Update
========================
Delhi will see the clouds all day long. The sky scan points that it may rain a little during the day. The monsoon is reaching Delhi. It is just matter of few days only, it will see rain. The disturbances are meeting in Delhi sky. The humidity will remain high which can lead to sweating.

Thats it for today. Short and crisp. Got very little time today.

=========================
15 June 2010 Delhi Weather Update
========================
I have been trying to figure out many things. I barely got time yesterday to update this page. The electricity demand is very high and frequent power cuts make our life tough. So Whats there in store for skies today.  The sky has clouds around Delhi. Monsoon clouds and the disturbance from North-West region are meeting and it is creating the push and pull effect with low pressure zones.  Monsoon clouds have covered the central and lower part of India. It is just matter of few days only to reach the rains to Delhi region.  If I believe the data of several other sites, they are pointing that next three days will be having more clouds.  I am surprised to see the data at one major weather site where it revised its forecast for yesterday on the fly.  My resources are limited and I do not have access to sophisticated weather predicting systems. But I know well how to read weather charts and sat sky scans.  I trust my knowledge.  I allow myself to be wrong sometimes but most of the time, I may be near accurate.

=========================
14 June 2010 Delhi Weather Update
========================
Today it is bit like clouds are playing hide and seek game with Delhi. This is weird to see that there are very low grade low pressure zone around Delhi. And clouds continue to keep sky empty for the reasons which are local to barely 100 km area or so.  Monsoon looks good but it is again the case of few more days.  Delhi weather keeps us busy figuring out the methods which can be effective to tell you more about. Yesterday it was evening rain and storm. Today it is  with patchy clouds here and there, keeping day again hot.

=========================

13 June 2010 Delhi Weather Update
=========================
It is interesting sky scan today.  I know I am late today but it is just 9 AM this morning. The sky is clear and white with hint of black. Again the water vapors and low haze creates this color.  The first half of the day will see no respite from heat. It is the other half of the day which is going to be milder today.  Delhi sky will have clouds and increased water vapors. The periphery of 200 km around Delhi has interesting scenario which can lead us to have some or more clouds after 3PM today.  Today weather is going to change and by tomorrow you will find that relief has arrived. Monsoon is moving well and its quality and thickness is good. The pre-monsoon rains are expected to happen in the next week.  Today, second half of the day and evening will be better than what you see during the first half.  The increased humidity can be problematic for the people.

============

This is  update at 4M today. It is raining here in Delhi. I did it right again this time.

=========================
12 June 2010 Delhi Weather Update
=========================
The day begins with hot sun and high heat index. You can not stand for long time in the sun.  Lets go over to sat scan of sky today.  There is low pressure zone in the lower regions from Delhi. These regions cover part of UP and Rajasthan. Some wester disturbances are approaching.  It is going to mild to high heat for 2-3 days more. As stated earlier, weather will get to see some clouds around Monday or so. For today, the first half will see clear sky with no relief from heat. The other half of the day will see some patches of the clouds. There is no possibility of rain or thunder storm or dust storm today. Sky is absolutely clear but water vapors may move in to fill the low pressure zone.   Thats it for today.

=========================
11 June 2010 Delhi Weather Update
=========================
There is low pressure zone around Delhi and you will see another hot day today. The Monsoon is advancing and it is better than before. It will cause heavy rains in central and Southern parts of India. The monsoon formation is normal and its path is making right way to reach to Delhi. You may see some rain by next Sunday or early next week. That is going to be pre-monsoon rain. The day is expected to be hot with no rains. There may be patchy clouds here and there but no major overcast. Some of the western water vapors can reach Delhi and the humidity levels may rise again.  Bear for some days, the Monsoon will reach Delhi before time.

=========================
10 June 2010 Delhi Weather Update
=========================
The day will see rise in temperature today.  There are no chances of rain in Delhi today. You will see clear sky which will not be the white in color. The sky of the color in Delhi changes the color as the water vapors and pollution level makes it so. There will not be dust or haze.  Monsoon has finally covered up to central India now. There are chances of more rain in Mumbai.  The way monsoon is advancing now, it will not take many days to reach Delhi. You can expect some pre-monsoon rains this weekend or early next week.  There is low pressure zone which exists towards south-west corridor and you this low pressure zone can be beneficial if the monsoon moves to this zone.  It is raining in North-East regions.  One of the questions people ask is why Delhi’s sky has color white. The white color indicates that haze has been formed due to dust particles and humidity levels. When the sky clears after rain, its color is blue.

=========================

9 June 2010 Delhi Weather Update
=========================
Morning will be pleasant. As the day will progress, the temperature will rise.  The sky will be clear from 10 AM onwards. The sky will have patchy clouds in sight. The monsoon has revived again and will hit the western side very soon.  The day will be more or less clear. Delhi will return to hot weather in a day or two again.  People in Delhi may need to prevent themselves from the heat again. Expect hot and humidity will rise again.  There is no major climatic system in sight near or around Delhi for now. the low pressure zone exists but that is  in far western side.

=========================

8th June 2010 Delhi Weather Update
=========================
The day will be filled with the clouds in the sky. The rains may occur during the day. The night temperature will see deviation from the normal towards lower side. The northern disturbance is visible and it will keep weather pleasant today.

=========================

7 June 2010 Delhi Weather Update
=========================
Weather in Delhi would remain milder for today with strong possibility of rain. Cyclone Phet has advanced further has stretched up to Delhi and more towards North-Eastern side from Delhi. You may not see enough of the sun today. The sky will remain overcast with clouds.  By 12 PM IST today, the clouds will be all over Delhi. Expect humidity to rise during evening. Temperature would remain lower than normal.  Temperature would remain between 27c and 38c.  The rain may occur after 2PM today.

=========================
6 June 2010 Delhi Weather Update
=========================
Cyclone Phet would form the weather in Delhi for next few days. As I have been telling that it is single system and it has been stretched from western Rajasthan to Delhi and other areas. The clouds you see in the sky above Delhi, are part of cyclone Phet. As I wrote yesterday that there may be some rain. Yes, It rained yesterday evening. Today, the weather will be milder than yesterday. You will see the clouds whole day. The rain may come with the advance of the system from western side. The temperature would remain around normal. The monsoon was weakened by cyclone Phet, is now forming again. It will take at least a week to form it again. The movement to south-west side is good. Expect a nice day for the Delhi people today. Humidity may increase after 1st half of the day.

=========================
5 June 2010 Delhi Weather Update
=========================
I am seeing the sky scan of 3:00 AM this morning. The cyclone Phet has moved towards North-Eastern side from Oman. Delhi’s weather is going to be mild today. The cool breeze in evening and the rest of day will not be very hot. The temperature will see deviation to lower side of at least 3-5c.  This is weekend and it is really good for the people to go out today.  Delhi will see more clouds during the day because the cyclone system Phet would move ahead.  Its speed is slow but it moving in the direction. Phet does not have the strength to cause damages now but it still has an eye. It has scattered now and its system is wide spread up to Delhi region. Pleasant day for Delhi today.Oh!, rain today! Expect light to moderate rain today in Delhi.

=========================
4 June 2010 Delhi Weather Update
=========================
Today I got stuck in other situations. I know I am late for today but still I can update this page.  Well, today is different story about weather. Delhi woke up with clouds in the sky but those were not enough strong. The whole day passed with haze and dust in the sky.  Cyclone Phet has weakened the monsoon. Now the Monsoon is expected to hit Delhi by 1st July. Thats is the date which has been delayed now. Now the real path of monsoon begins when the Met dept would say another thing every day. The prediction of normal monsoon still can hold true.  The monsoon is expected to hit Mumbai on 11th June.  Monsoon may come to Delhi on July 1st.  For tonight, the situation would be little less warm.  The sky has cover of clouds. Heading clouds from the Phet are connected to the clouds that you see over the Delhi.  It is single system which has head over Delhi and tail in Oman.

=========================

3 June 2010 Delhi Weather Update
=========================
It is wide spread dust in the atmosphere. The visibility is pretty low, it is less than 150 meters. The cyclone Phet is going to affect monsoon and its strength. According to Met Dept, there are chances of rains today. While, I look at the satellite images, Delhi has the low pressure zone around and some scattered clouds. The local conditions to change during the second half of the day. Heavy dust storm is expected to come by evening.  The rain today may occur during the night time. Heavy rains are on the way from western disturbances. These will not be the pre-monsoon rains.

=========================
2 June 2010 Delhi Weather Update
=========================
Today, Weather is going to be hot during the day. The dust filled sky and there is possiblity of dust storm during the second half of the day.  There is very little info for today. Trying to get to the sat image of the day.  There are no clouds around. It is just haze today. Delhi is going to get more humidity during the second half of the day and rest of night.  Some patches of the clouds can exist during the evening.  For today, the sat images are not very clear.

=========================
1 June 2010 Delhi Weather Update
=========================
The last day of May, brought good news. Monsoon touch Kerala and there was the first rain of the season. It is expected, it will take close to 20-25 days to reach Delhi. If things remain on the normal path, it will be raining in Delhi around June 20th, 2010 or so. South West part of India is having rain but Delhi has no luck for now.  Northern disturbance will take 2-3 days to cool the weather here.  There is still snow falling in the upper regions of Himalaya.  There may be some patches of clouds during the day.  During most of the day, the weather will be hot. Humidity is going to be around 35% or so.  There is no low pressure zone seen around Delhi. There are chances that Gujarat, Rajasthan and Western UP may see dust-storm.  There is no big change for now. Temperature would remain higher side. The heat and humidity levels are not uncomfortable these days, still your cooler can help you to sleep. Expect rain in Delhi in next 2 days and if that happens, it is not monsoon yet.

=========================
31 May 2010 Delhi Weather Update
=========================
The sky scan of 10PM last night point to uncomfortable day ahead. There is a low pressure zone in Haryana and Uttaranchal with no clouds in proximity.  It is going to be hot day.  The clear sky with high temperature, is what today Delhi is going to get. The situation will remain so till evening. Humidity level is expected to be around 35% which is another problem.  Approx speed of the wind is going to be 11km per hour. Take due care when you go out in the sun today. Temperature would go as high as 42c and low will be 29c.  The clear sky situation is temporary.  Monsoon has forwarded further and is moving on its path. It is sill far away from Delhi. There are no pre-monsoon rains for now.

=========================
30 May 2010 Delhi Weather Update
=========================
Situation is changed a bit today.  I am looking at 3 AM chart of the sky. There exists a low pressure zone of 200km radius around Delhi. Winds blowing at the rate of  18km per hour and there are some scattered clouds in the sky at the level of 3000 mts or so.  Today, the temperature would remain in the range of 27c to 40c range.  Lets come back to conventional questions. Is it going to be too much of heat today?  No. The weather will remain light today.  There is possibility of light rains. The water vapors will fill the low pressure zone for today. You may experience little bit higher level of humidity.  I am trying to be better with each passing day.  My experience is predicting weather with the help of weather charts. I am not gifted with weather stations yet. But sky scan of satellite images is as good as a weather station and tools. Right now, the system exists in Russia, Himalayan Region which is touching Delhi. The other water vapors are flowing in from western side.  So looks good for today. Expect mild weather for today.

=========================
29 May 2010 Delhi Weather Update
=========================
The dry weather is coming back. The low intensity of the winds show that low pressure zone is going away. There exists the clear sky not very far from Delhi, that is lower Rajasthan. The other clouds which came from north are not advancing further.  The water vapor cover is thinning again. It points that today by evening the some cloud and rain may occur if the clouds from northern side move. Otherwise, the people in Delhi will have to face the conditions of extreme heat.  Monsoon has advanced further and the path is normal for now. Expect some rain by evening and but heat in the first half in Delhi. Thats it for today. There is slight possibility of the rain. There is no local system formation which could bring clouds from somewhere. It all depends upon the northern clouds for now. If it rains in Delhi, it is not going sustain many days. The system is weak, so some rain can happen but do not hope for rains of monsoon type yet.

=========================
28 May 2010 Delhi Weather Update
=========================
The good morning and cool breeze greeted people today in Delhi. It is good surprise for the people living in Delhi. How is day going to be today. Lets do some weather science.  Well, sky is full of dust today. There are no clouds but sky is covered with thick vapors. There are chances that Delhi and adjoining areas may see dust-storm during the mid day or evening side. For today, the weather will remain like this. Is there a rain today? No in the first half.  The low pressure zone exists in eastern Rajasthan. That is the only hope to pull the clouds from northern side.  More over, monsoon is again active and you can hope coming days are going to be much cooler. For today, enjoy the fine weather but wear glasses when you ride your bike. It is dust outside and there is chance of dust storm.
=========================

27 May 2010 Delhi Weather Update
=========================
There is good news for today.  There is no low pressure zone today.  The water vapors have filled the sky.  A weak system of thin clouds is moving towards Delhi from Western side. I am seeing the sky scan of 3:30 AM which points to the some relief today but not the rain.  The water vapor level will increase the humidity during the second half of the day. Monsoon has formed in right manner. There are no pre-monsoon rain in Delhi for now.  The haze will cover Delhi till 2 PM after that the temperature will rise. It is going to be humid day after that.  I have limited resources to predict about the weather but I think I am good at telling you how it looks for today and everyday.  All three coastal areas are clear of any big change. The monsoon is on normal path although delayed but it is moving right way. The low pressure zone is moving to eastern side which means People in Delhi can expect some relief from the hot weather. But it is fragile and does not have permanent system for few days. It will change through out the day. Some clouds are possible but again I repeat, No rain today.
=========================

26 May 2010 Delhi Weather Update

=========================
The sky scan of 3:30 AM shows no respite for now. There are no clouds. The humidity is going to remain high through out the day. It is another humid and hot day for Delhi. Temperature today will remain around 46 which will feel like 50 due to humidity. Humidity levels are expected around 24% to 30%. There is blank sky today with no patches of clouds.  The electricity situation would remain worse in many areas. Combined problems are too much for the people living in Delhi. Monsoon’s new spell has begun and it will take more time to reach the places. Laila cyclone which has gone toward Bangkok now, had impact the strength of the monsoon. The Arabian sea has conditions which are normal now.  There is right formation of clouds there.  This week is going to be like this for Delhi.  There is no major change for today. You must drink lots of water and avoid going in sun without purpose.  It is not a good day to go sight-seeing Delhi. It is better to watch a nice movie or read a book at home.

Cyclone PHET Latest Update

June 3rd, 2010 when we begin. To read latest update read in the post for the current dates.

This is really another trouble soon after Laila on the eastern coasts.  Cyclone Phet is moving at the speed of 90 km per hour towards western cost of India. The latest update is it has changed its path and now it is heading towards coastal areas of Pakistan.

It has already hit Gujarat. There are already visuals on the TV. These visuals show that it has caused some temporary damage to Tata Nano Plant which was inaugurated today. The first Nano car came from this plant today.  It is expected that this system would be active for at least 7 days or so.  The tropical cyclone PHET is expected to hit Oman first. It is one of the biggest single cyclone so far. Indian weather department has issued severe warning.  The MET Dept’s site is down at the moment. Just checked the another resource. Get the latest update from accuweather here:

http://www.accuweather.com/blogs/news/story/32195/watching-for-tropical-cyclone.asp

As the more information would be available, I will update the page. Keep reading the page.

===========================

June 8th, 2010 update at 7:00 PM IST

Finally Cyclone Phet has vanished. It has left heavy rains in Rajasthan and the flood in many parts. There is no trace of Phet left. Finally it is no longer there visible on the Satellite map. I hope my readers must have found the updates timely and helpful.  I end the cyclone Phet update with this post.

===========================

June 7th, 2010 update at 7:00 AM IST

Cyclone Phet will leave Pakistan completely in few hours. Now it is entering in Gujarat. As I write these lines, the news has started to come that damage is being reported from the several western cities in Guajarat.  From Gujarat, its movement is North-East side and it expected to remain in this area for some more time. People in Gujarat must remain alert.

===========================

June 6th, 2010 update at 7:00 AM IST

Cyclone Phet has left Oman and is now centered over Pakistan, having its much of the system on Western Rajasthan and Gujarat as well.  The cyclone will become weak today or tomorrow. It  has lost its eye and is now scattered form. Cyclone Phet would cease to exist in next 2 days. The system would now go towards eastern side in the form of disturbance. The cities in its path are safer now because it is just going to rain in few places.

===========================

What exactly is Malamanteau?

I am really surprised to see malamanteau on the top of the charts of searched words. There are many sites which are either harmful or not marked safe which feature malamanteau.

Malamanteau word seems to be linked to xkcd cartoon web-comics. The xkcd is supposed to be unique art in which humans and other elements are depicted using the sticks. The theme of these comics is funny mathematical and computer jokes.

But what is so unusual about it? There is sudden jump of number of searches on 12th May 2010. There are many other better cartoon series which does not have so much of coverage.  I read so many things and did not find any element which would spark interest in this at so much large level.

Another guy says portmanteau and the searched keyword is same. It looks like several thousands of the users tried to upload the articles to Wikipedia on 12th May which sparked so much of search volume.

Sounds good and it is ok to see sometimes such activities where the unusual things do happen are noticed. There is none so far who has used this word commercially and or used in mainstream language. It seems to be just being used by the fans of cartoon only.

List of Successful Niche. Does that exist?

I have been trying to find the answers to some crucial questions. What makes a website really successful. I have read stories and tall claims of the people being super successful with their websites. The real worth of their success is still unknown.

Some say, find a niche which has no competition and focus on that. There are many SEO gurus making tall claims.  So far, I have just read theories and have seen people making sense out of that.

The list of successful niche may exist in someone’s secrets and nobody wants to share with others.  There may be little research involved to find the good resources but you can gather a bit of information which may lead to discovery of something worthy for your site.

From a new site point of view, I am not in favor of writing for search engines. Write for your readers. Your readers must be your first priority and if they like your site, they are going to come back again.  Writing for search engines takes away the fun and joy of the words and you end-up making sense of keywords and your effort to fit them here and there can lead to very bad text which is difficult to read but can be found using the search engine. Is it really worth? I do not think so.  Some readers may land on your site from search engines but they are not going to stay for very long time.  I have seen sites with 100% bounce rate. Is that any good? Think of it. Stop chasing the dreams with search engines. A good writer can make worse of him if he focuses on keywords. Be natural and free-flowing, you will have enough readers.

My case studies and other text here on this site are read by the readers and some of them come from unexpected sources.
