Voyager 2, Are Aliens Trying to Reach us?

There are several news items which are floating in the newspapers and online media. Some of them claim that NASA’s Voyager 2 spaceship has been hijacked by Aliens and they are now trying to reach us.  NASA Voyager 2 is a very ambitious program and the spaceship has been functional for last 33 years.  It suddenly began to send the data in very unusual format which could not be decoded.

There are several experts who are voicing their views and probably the most notable is Hartwig Hausdorf who is a German researcher having the interest in extraterrestrials.  According to him the disk on-board the ship may have reached the Aliens and they have reprogrammed the data structure which is being received by the earth-stations.

There are many interesting notes from this incident. The scientists on the earth are not able to read the data which is being sent to them. They have shut down the data streams and reprogrammed the computer send the health status only.

There may be some truth in these news items.  Sometime back, Stephen Hawking pointed that any contact with aliens may not prove to be good. We must remain cautious if we are going to have contact with aliens in future.  Earth bound civilization does not have the technology to reach stars as of now. There exist few stations of SETI who ware trying listen to the signals and find if an intelligent WOW signal arrives.
