Teddy Pendergrass passed away after a long fight with colon cancer.  His fans are grieving the death. He was just 59 Year old and had become very successful with R&B and Soul style of singing.  In his initial days he was with Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes and after that he launched himself in solo career.

He has written many songs and has his fans all over the world. He was nominated 5 times for Grammy Awards. His last album came in 1997 titled “You & I”.  His autobiography is Truly Blessed  which was published in 1992.

His body will be taken  to Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church in Philadelphia for public viewing on Friday, January 22 and the funeral will take place on Saturday.
